CELEBRATE ‘08 WITH ROBIN PICKENS DESIGNS
LOS ANGELES … Robin Pickens Designs just couldn’t wait to celebrate 2008 in style. At Surtex 2008,
Pickens will premiere her colorful, energetic looks for holidays and occasion-specific celebrations. This May,
Pickens will debut her Halloween collections including a juvenile look of “Tiny Trick-or-Treaters” and more
sophisticated “October’s Eve” botanicals. Pickens continues her celebration looks with her new Modern
Elegance wedding collection, perfect for showers and weddings. For birthdays, she has added three new lines
focusing on birthday cakes, balloons, cupcakes and more, and she has expanded her winter holiday lines by
adding her “Christmas Carnival” look. Needing to unwind after all the celebrating? Relax and refresh with new
yoga images featuring poses and inspirational words. Pickens new designs are perfect for paper goods, tabletop,
giftware and accessories.
The versatility of Robin Pickens Designs is apparent in her recent expansion into the increasingly popular world
of scrapbooking designs. Appreciating the trend to personalized designs and the desire to cherish family
memories, she has applied her collections for weddings, birthdays, crazy paisley hearts and nature illustrations
to scrapbooking lines. Her collections include complementary patterns, embellishments, borders, and
sentiments. Pickens debuted her looks and approach at the 2008 CHA convention Designer’s Showcase in
Anaheim, CA.
Pickens is now grouping her work into her different styles to help manufacturers quickly locate the look that is
right for their consumer. Her designs range from traditional with a twist and whimsical illustration to a more
contemporary linear expression and clean, modern graphic design. Her lines include icons, repeats and borders
so they can be easily applied to many product categories. Pickens’ work appeals to a wide range of audiences
because of her variety of styles, yet her work always keeps it’s uniquely Robin feeling.
