ROBIN PICKENS CREATES MODERN SCRAPBOOKING LINES
LOS ANGELES...Want to show a traditional celebration of a wedding in a fresh, current yet elegant way?
Turn to Robin Pickens Designs for contemporary and sophisticated scrapbook solutions. Pickens is unveiling
her new “Modern Elegance” line, available for licensing, at the 2008 Craft and Hobby Association Convention’s
Designer Showcase.
Pickens’ wedding line features clean, graphic backgrounds and floral themes appropriate for bridal showers or
the big event. Subtle touches of ribbon and rhinestones compliment the backgrounds and embellishments.
Suitable for black tie or a simple garden wedding, Modern Elegance offers a lovely, fresh approach to
cherishing wedding memories.
At the Designer Showcase, Pickens will also show scrapbook pages with her linear illustration style. Her “Red
Bird & Friends” is a modern rendition of leaves and nature, while “Sweetness and Swirls” is more whimsical
and flowing. She captures fun and color in her “Heart of a Gardener” and “Crazy Paisley Heart” lines.
Pickens currently licenses with Papyrus, Design Design Inc., Paper Products Designs, among others. She is
exhibiting at SURTEX in New York this May for her third year in a row. She is seeking licensing partners for
her new scrapbooking lines as well as other product categories. Her designs range from traditional with a twist
to a more contemporary illustration style and modern graphic design. Her lines include icons, repeats and
borders so they can be easily applied to many product categories. Pickens’ work appeals to a wide range of
audiences because of her variety of styles, yet her work always keeps it’s uniquely Robin feeling.
